Dr. DiPaola is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon and shoulder and elbow specialist. He has attained extensive training in the treatment of shoulder and elbow conditions and dedicates his practice to treating shoulder and elbow dysfunction with the most advanced surgical and non surgical techniques. All of his professional endeavors including teaching and research are aimed toward improving the lives of patients with shoulder and elbow problems.
A scholar-athlete, Dr. DiPaola graduated from the Ivy League’s Cornell University while earning All-Ivy and Academic All-Ivy honors for Cornell’s varsity football team. A Victor Grohman scholar athlete and Cornell Big Red Helmet award winner, Dr. DiPaola excelled in both academic and athletic pursuits.
Graduating with honors in research from the Cornell Medical College, he then pursued orthopedic surgery training with the prestigious Rothman Institute at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA where he performed a high volume of complex surgical cases under the mentorship of some of the most skilled surgeons in the field.
He then dedicated a full year of advanced fellowship training to honing his diagnostic and surgical acumen in treating shoulder and elbow disorders at the NYU- Hospital for Joint Diseases under Dr. Joseph Zuckerman, former President of the American Shoulder and Elbow Society and American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery.
He practiced for 7 years at Wright State University in Dayton Ohio.
He is now Assistant Professor of Orthopedics and Sports Medicine at University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and UBMD Orthopedicsa and continues to speak nationally, publish within the field of shoulder and elbow surgery and teach the next generation of surgeons.
